Credentials
An Ogov credential must represent demonstrated capability, not time spent watching videos. Otherwise it becomes a decorative political credential, which would be worse than issuing nothing at all.
No credentials have been issued yet. The independent credential council that sets the standard is being formed, and no course has been published to assess.
Four levels
Level 1
Learning acknowledgement
Finish an introductory lesson
Encourages participation. It is not presented as professional certification.
Identity: No verification required
Level 2
Verified skills badge
Pass an assessment and complete a practical exercise
Evidence of one specific competency.
Identity: Verified email address
Level 3
Ogov professional certificate
Complete several courses and simulations, and a reviewed capstone
A meaningful public-leadership credential.
Identity: Identity verification, clearly labelled
Level 4
Executive fellowship
Selective cohort, live simulations, mentoring and a final defence
For senior leaders and transition teams. Deliberately scarce.
Identity: Identity verified
Ogov does not use the words “accredited diploma” or “professional licence”, and will not until a formal partnership with an accredited institution exists.
How work is assessed
- Scenario-based examinations
- Cabinet and crisis simulations
- Contract-review exercises
- Budget-prioritisation decisions
- Recorded oral defence
- Peer and expert review
- A practical national-development capstone
Passing is not automatic. Work may be resubmitted, but the standard does not move.
What is published
The rubric and the passing standard are always public. For open capstones the achievement band is public too:
- Pass
- Merit
- Distinction
- Distinction with Public Leadership Commendation
Exact numerical scores stay private unless the learner chooses to disclose them, and similarity or AI-detection percentages are never published about anyone. See academic integrity.
Verification is public and free
Every credential carries a unique identifier and a permanent address on this domain. Anyone can check it without an account: what the holder demonstrated, how it was assessed, who assessed it, and whether it is valid, expired or revoked. Credentials are signed, so an altered certificate fails verification.
Verify a credentialWhat a credential is not
This credential confirms that the holder satisfied the stated learning and assessment requirements. It does not constitute political endorsement or certify the holder's integrity, conduct or performance in public office.
This statement appears on every credential and on every verification page.
